  So happy with my technician that came out to my house today! Wish I would of asked his name to give him kudos. The technician was able to diagnose the issue with my toilet not flushing fast! He was very clear with the prices which made this process worry free! We tried to snake my toilet but that wasn’t enough. He was able to snake another area and get the clog free!! So happy! Very thankful for their 24hr phone service to set up an appointment and the service they provided today! Now I’m able to enjoy my Sunday! Thanks again!!

  First plumber that came to do the repair I believe was not knowledgeable of the repair at hand. He left to get parts and never returned or called us. While calling back to answering service over two hours later we received a call from the plumbing company asking us if the repair was made. After explaining the situation the company representative told us she would send us one of their best plumbers. This plumber came and did a great job with the repair and we were satisfied with his service. I thought that the cost for repair was high even for on a weekend. ( I had excavated the area and removed the steel surround for the water meter to get to the leak on water line before the first plumber arrived). Overall we were ok with Rotor-Rooter since they completed the repair same day even after the first plumber did not attempt to do the repair.

  Jason was absolutely fantastic. I cannot give him a better review. He deserves a 10/5. He tried so hard to remove the remote in my toilet and couldn’t. He recommended we get a new toilet. I pressed him to keep trying, and he showed me his process and I could see it was stuck and it wasn’t coming out. I told him thanks and that we would go ahead getting a new toilet. He could tell I was upset I’d have to spent an extra $700, but I knew it wasn’t his fault. I left him to cover up the sewage hole, and I heard an exuberant yell. He had tried one more time with the toilet at a different angle and was able to get the remote out. Jason is absolutely FANTASTIC and a great employee. I will use Roto rooter again, but I want to highlight Jason’s fantastic work, professionalism, and genuine care to fix my issue even though it seemed to be impossible.

  Mike is a professional and patient plumber who explained everything to me in a way I could understand.

  I was one of many people who’s pipes had burst in the freeze but Mike was able to make it to my house around 6pm.
  He fixed the original issue but another pipe burst and he stayed until past 1am to fix that(and others) and to make sure the water pressure worked fine afterwards.

  That’s outstanding professional dedication!

  I would like Roto-Rooter to lower their prices, and wanted to put four stars for that reason; but I didn’t want 4/5 stars to reflect poorly on Mike’s awesome work.

  Needed very simple shower repair. Very responsive..showed up in less than an hour from my initial call. My issue was with the total bill. The repair took the plumber roughly 30 minutes on site. He was gone ‘to get parts’ roughly 2 hours. At $128/hour that’s about $250 to go get parts. I get travel time has to be accounted for but that’s ridiculous.

  I had a leak. I called them up. Within hours it was fixed. All on the same day. Ok so what’s so special about that; isn’t that what’s supposed to happen? If you’ve needed a plumber recently you can appreciate how stressful that process is. It’s simple; it’s just not easy. Graf sent “AJ” over to fix my problem.   With my wife at home and myself at work the hose bib was broken just above supply valve by my son. They isolated at supply valve and called ABC. Tech recommended replacing hose bib and supply valve with quarter turn. Accepted recommendations. 430$ and 30mins later repairs are complete. When i got home I asked for an itemized bill so I could understand why it was so expensive. Contacted office twice to no avail. Will continue to seek outlets until I can better understand why 2 valves and 30mins of labor = 430$. Will be more than happy to supply pictures and the bill with a summary of charges that I received. Thank you in advance.

  I called ABC to repair a damaged hot water pipe that was leaking in my attic. Of course, this happened after hours so I figured it would cost around $500-$600 for the repair.
  The good: They were very responsive, and the technician showed up within 1.5 hours of me calling the company.
  The bad: Literally everything else. The technician was poorly equipped and highly disorganized to accomplish the task. He didn’t have a key to turn off the water at the street as well as some other tools that I had to lend him because he couldn’t find his. He also was afraid to turn off the water at valve that comes into the house because he didn’t want to break it (there was nothing wrong with it). He asked me if I’d be willing to turn it so the fault would not be his if it broke. I told him absolutely not, that is why I called a plumber. He turned off the water at the hot water heater and then got to work.
  It took him 3 hours to cut ~1.5 feet of pipe, then solder in a new piece. We turned the water back on and there was another section leaking literally 3 inches from where he put the new pipe in. He cut that piece and soldered in a new copper pipe. He used a white bread (I had to provide) clog to keep the water from getting in the way of his soldering. He assured me that the white bread would dissolve, and it wouldn’t be a big deal. We turned the water back on and it was working. However, that piece of white bread did not dissolve and proceeded to block my kitchen sink. He then had to spend the next 30 minutes taking apart my kitchen sink to remove the block. All in all, it took him 4 hours and cost me $850 for a 1.5-foot section of copper pipe.
  Fast forward to two days later the pipe was leaking again. I called another plumber because I didn’t want to deal with ABC again. New plumber came to the house looked at the previous job that was done and nothing but bad things to say. The solder was poorly done, and he said that ABC’s plumber should’ve just cut out that whole section and replaced it with Pex line. ABC’s plumber also didn’t wipe all of the flux off the old which can cause problems I was informed. The new plumber cut out ~12ft. of bad copper and replaced all of it with Pex. Took him about 1 hour and cost me $175. He also wasn’t using a plasma torch around the insulation in my attic possibly causing a fire. He used some clamping tool (not a plumber, don’t know what it is called) to attach the Pex to the copper. Don’t waste your time with ABC unless you want to overpay for subpar work.

  Update:
  Two days after I posted this review, a very pleasant gentleman named Mike from customer service called me to get more details about my experience. After we had a civil chat he offered to refund me for the job since I had to call another plumber out who ended up having to cut all of their work out anyway. I appreciated the phone call Mike.
  Even though my initial experience was not great, ABC did what they could to make it right. Four stars because even though you refunded my money I still had to deal with getting a second plumber out here. Great customer service though.

  Needed water heater diagnostic. They said between 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. I will schedule. Guy came in by 5:30 p.m. to look at the water heater. He said he’s not a electrician so he did not shut the power off for the water heater. So he recommended me to get an electrician to shut the power off to the water heater. So he can do his check on the water heater. Then he left.

  I called these guys for a second opinion after Roto Rooter told me I had a sewer leak under my foundation and sent me a quote for $10k to tunnel under my house. And boy am I glad I did! It took them two attempts. The first time they found a leak at the toilet flange but the real problem ended up being a broken sewer line above the foundation. Few hundred dollars vs. $10k. They were honest, diligent and most importantly not commission based! Great plumbing service

  My elder mother had a clogged toilet, she called another plumbing company that advertises on television. They tried for 2 hours and could not get the problem fixed. I got a recommendation from a contractor friend who said “I only use McCain Plumbing, they are simply the best in town”. My mother called and they were out the next day and were able to get the problem resolved. They charged a reasonable price, were very professional and thoroughly cleaned after their work.   We have had very positive experiences with this company. They have handled a few different jobs for us, including replacing our sewer line. Their plumbers have been professional and friendly. They show up on time, they do good work, they take the time to explain what they’re doing, and they are reasonably priced. I personally don’t understand the negative reviews on their Google page at all as our experiences have always been positive. But I would say that it also says a lot that they respond to any negative reviews and appear to try and work out the situation. We have been very happy with Owen Plumbing.

  Be aware Owen Plumbing & Drain will only guarantee their outside work for 30 Days! Owens did a repair 4 months ago & we noticed the leak was back contacted them to come back out but was charged again for the work they just did 4 months ago! HORRIBLE customer service & if their work only last 4 months, do not want them completing any more repairs.

  Owen Plumbing & Drain, please check with your staff, no warranty period was mentioned prior to coming out, there was no damage to from “lawn care” and not in an area to be hit by another object. SMH. As far a the drought to heavy rain period, if Owen Plumbing & Drains work not make it through one heavy rain period after a repair, I again do not recommend them. This is South Texas and the conditions are they same pretty much every year, work should last longer than 4 months. I have no missed call & spoke with your office manager this morning, she has my number as I told her I would definitely make it public to not use your services. I reported this yesterday and still stood by her decision today as do I.
