Our old Lennox furnace had seen better days and Greg suggested a package that not only fit our needs, it was a great deal. Our techs Antonio and Dennis hauled away the old furnace and left our basement nice and tidy after a long day of installation. Then to finish a great install, Antonio explained how to operate the new thermostat, explained how the furnace works and went over the necessary paperwork for us to sign.   My air had quit working so I called in the late evening on a Saturday. Whoever I talked to on the phone that scheduled an appointment for me was very nice and informative. They couldn’t give me an estimated time when a tech could come, but that they would come that day. Josh W, the tech called me not too long after letting me know he’d be at my house in 30 minutes. I really liked the call ahead to let me know. Josh was very knowledgeable and explained what the issue was and was thorough with it. He gave me confidence he knew his job very well and fixed my air for me. This is the first company in a long time that I would recommend for any needs you have. Very please with the work done and professionalism. I didn’t feel like they just wanted my money.

  We needed quick service on our furnace after we had a power surge on a Friday morning and our furnace wasn’t turning on.   Legacy has been maintaining and servicing our Geothermal (Water Furnace) system since we purchased this home in 2014. We could not be happier with the service we have received. I would highly recommend purchase of a service plan. They keep track of your maintenance and will call you in the spring and fall to set up your service calls. They are extremely thorough when they check your system and they provide a report to explain the results of their testing. Thankfully we have only once had an issue with our unit and they quickly and cost-effectively resolved it for us. The technicians are highly trained and the technician that they send to take care of our unit has been specifically trained in Geothermal. Nathan Christian performed our service today and he could not have been more professional, thorough, and polite. It was a pleasure to meet Nathan and we hope to see him again in the Spring. Trust me… I am a very critical consumer and when I receive great service I feel like it should be recognized. Legacy is a quality operation.

  Came to this company after a more than miserable experience with another HVAC company. They have exceeded the expecting we had in the very beginning and continue to make sure we are taken care of.
  Had an AC Installed on Tuesday.
  They came Wednesday to finish up new duct work. And came today an hour after my phone call when the AC wouldn’t kick on.
  I would recommend to everyone without question! All the technicians that have been in my home have been extremley likeable, knowledgeable, and did EXACTLLY what they were meant to do! I cant say enough good about this company!

  From start to finish, Church Plumbing & Heating exceeded my expectations. Our water heater was leaking from the tank, so we had to shut off the supply and therefore had no hot water. Time was therefore of the essence to get the heater replaced. Fortunately, Church’s fantastic reviews were true to their word. Less than a day after I first called, Keith came out and evaluated the installation job. He was an absolute professional–prompt, articulate, knowledgeable, and determined to get the problem fixed. He explained the various services that Church offers but was never pushy, and ensured that I got the exact services I needed and nothing unnecessary. The following morning, Greg and Kristie arrived first thing in the morning and did an exceptional job. The installation was quick and seamless, and the two of them were professional and courteous. Less than 36 hours after I first reached out, Church had replaced my water heater. The soonest any other service told me they could do it was 96 hours.

  If it’s not clear, Church Plumbing & Heating is the real deal. Their professionals do not disappoint, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They surely will be my first call if I ever have any plumbing or heating issues in the future.

I always feel like I can trust them! My furnace wasn’t safe to use and they were able to come out the next morning and replace it for me. So grateful!

  Church Plumbing came out to my elderly mother’s house to examine why the basement bathroom sink was leaking, the estimate was $1100.00 to replace the faucet, $1100.00!!!! But $547.00 if we supplied the faucet from Mid-City Supply where they get their plumbing supplies from, how convenient. $553.00 difference. Keep in mind,The faucet is not gold plated. The braided hoses under the sink were leaking, not the faucet. My mother paid $99.00 for them to find the problem, then we were to call them back to set up an appointment. The faucet wasn’t even the problem!!! You think they honestly were going to tell us this. What I have shared with you is the absolute truth. Maybe there was a misdiagnosis of the leak, Church probably does good work, but this is a simple bathroom faucet. Everyone is entitled to make a profit on work preformed, but this is simply over the top. Pure Greed.

  Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!!!
  They repaired our gas lines. We had small leaks in the connections. The first estimate that the technician gave us was a few hundred dollars he then went out to his van and came back with an estimate in the thousands. They said they would not complete the work until they had received confirmation of funds. We provided that confirmation. When they checked gas lines to make sure there were no more leaks they told us that our other gas line had leaks and that estimate was also in the thousands. After they completed the work they never provided us with a summary or a receipt to break down all costs. When I compared prices with other plumbing and heating places their estimates were much lower than what we were charged. Nipsco came out to check the gas lines and turn the gas back on they also checked the lines and informed us that the second line did not have any leaks. He also told us that Church’s technicians work on commissions. Shame on us for not calling around to find a competitive price but shame on Church’s for taking advantage of decent people in desperate need of help. We needed the gas back on as we are in the midst of cold season and who wants to live in a house with no heat?

  While we were out of the country on vacation, a meter reader came by, smelled gas, and turned off the gas supply. Our adult kid was house sitting our high school kid and had no gas for heat.

  Crystal Valley had installed our HVAC (but not the pool heater that was leaking). I called them after hours. A tech called me back within 20 minutes. He agreed to check it out after he finished up with another job. I got a text when the job was accepted and a while later that it had been completed. He capped the line easily that the gas company would not touch. Invoice came in well under the ball park estimate (that I would have gladly paid) and the work was completed around 9pm. Nipsco came out the same night and turned the gas back on.

  Crystal Valley came through for us, in a tough scenario when we were thousands of miles away. Quickly, efficiently, with great communication along the way.

  We had issues regarding the furnace installation: the first night the furnace quit working and we didn’t have any heat, the new thermostat was new and defective and was replaced, there was carbon monoxide released in our home setting off our carbon monoxide detectors. There was also a leaky valve/hose that needed to be replaced. These issues were taken care of in a timely responsive manner. The technicians were very courteous.

  Friends of ours told they needed to replace their furnace and AC unit to the tune of $24,000. They were told all kinds of things that were red flags. I had a guy I use and trust go over to give a second opinion… fixed the furnace for less than $500. Dishonest business practice.

  I met with Sam when he came to service my Air conditioning unit. I was extremely nervous. I have only lived my home for about two years or so. It is an older home so utilities are older. Upon Sam’s arrival extremely nice and professional. You read reviews of people having other servicing companies and develop an opinion of your own. Upon further review, conclusion was that I needed a new air conditioning unit. Sam reffed me to Ray.   I called by reading reviews like this and all I can say is that I was even more surprised after having work done by JD. He was professional at not only his work but also as a person and contractor. He went out of his way to explain the issues and fixed what needed to be done to highest standard. He installed multiple shutoff valves, ran lines to a wash sink in the basement, installed new lines to a bathroom vanity, and installed a new sewage pipe and toilet. He explained things even outside of what he was working on and made really good suggestions of things that might be needed in the future. I would recommend his services to anyone who asks and would without a doubt use JD Plumbing moving forward.
