  Gorgeous space to take cooking classes! Friendly, helpful staff and a great cook’s store downstairs. I recently took a two-day baking class at Cooks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything each student needs. Plenty of space to spread out. Convenient location with easy access to downtown Minneapolis. Excellent experience cooking at Cooks!

  We browsed the store a bit, but the reason for our visit was a cooking demonstration. The class was excellent and you got to ask questions on general food and prep as well. Highly enjoyed the night.

  My workplace put together a little cook-off with the staff being guided by a couple of the Crocus Hill chefs. Z and L helped us swing through the instruction, decision-making, and meal preparation in a 3-hour session. We made good food and spent a spell together. Spent another half an hour or so going through the gourmet kitchen hardware store downstairs. It was an enjoyable experience.

  This was a pretty cool experience. The scotch was well selected. The story behind it was interesting. The food in general was pretty good, but not overly impressive. The presenters and other staff did a great job. The only negative I had was the location. It’s West Grand Ave… Not just Grand Ave. Would definitely recommend for a change of experience.

  My colleagues and I did a cookie baking class and had SO MUCH FUN! Cjef Lorelei and her team were fantastic to work with. So friendly, informative and helpful. I definitely recommend going for a group outing!

  My wife and I had a date night with Shelagh last night and it was fabulous! We made homemade gnocchi with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh ricotta over a bed of arugula. Not only was it delicious, but her teaching was easy to follow and made us feel like we could cook anything! The atmosphere was delightful and it was fun to hear about her history with cooking. We’ll definitely be trying more classes! I can’t recommend it enough!

  I took a sour dough class at Sheiagh’s home last month. I went home with a bag of flour, a proofing basket, a scraper, and some freshly fed starter. And we were fed a tasty tasty homemade soup for lunch with some of her freshly baked sourdough! All that on top of taking her 4 hour course! I’m now off and running baking my own sourdough bread, and I am just thrilled that I decided to sign up for this course. Thank you Shelagh!!!

  Had a wonderful time in the sourdough bread class for beginners! Very well prepped and the atmosphere was like baking with a bunch of friends. I felt at ease to ask questions which were answered and explained in such a way that I felt confidant that I could make delicious sourdough bread on my own. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone who has been wanting to try their hand at sourdough bread making but was a little confused or intimated by the steps and terminology.

  Just took the Kitchen Confidence 2.0 with a couple of girlfriends. It was awesome!!! I learned so much from Shelagh and it was over zoom! So easy to do and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to do again soon. Oh, and the price is very reasonable!! Sign up today!! You will love it.
