- Reviews:Enjoyed the food! Wish there was more of a show from the cook, that’s my favorite part usually. We had reservations for 6 but another friend came along, they were able to quickly accommodate by adding a seat to the table. Make reservations because they fill up quick. I made our reservation 2 weeks in advance to be safe. No liquor license but plenty of sake cocktails. I had strawberry sake lemonade. Filet and lobster hibachi w/fried rice…yummy!By Angie Chevalier (7 months ago)It was our first time at Kyoto Sushi & Japanese. We weren’t really impressed. They sat me and my hubby on the side. There weren’t any people facing the cook. The cook was an older man who had a hard time doing an egg trick. He broke two eggs trying and the third egg, he just broke the normal way. I’m thinking he just gave up. However, he did burn a lot of oil in the onion trick. The food was okay. We had to pay $2.50 for fried rice. My shrimp was undercooked, and my steak had a lot of fat. It was a really skinny piece of steak. Our soup bowl was 1/3 full and didn’t have any flavor. The salad was really small, but it tasted good. The dressing made the salad. There weren’t any cucumbers or tomatoes. I saw the fat on the end of the steak on the grillI. I was hoping he would cut it off but, no he just cut, cooked, and served. The staff was really nice. I think this isn’t a restaurant for us. Everything looked better than it tasted.By Brennie (3 months ago)Overall pretty great experience, didn’t get the third beer I ordered but also didn’t pay for it. One of the two birthday guests got a glass of wine spilled on her but that was handled appropriately. Food was delicious but the waitress didn’t seem very happy to be there.By Mason Meunier (11 months ago)We came in on a Sunday night with reservations for a group of 20 for a work party. Servers were very attentive and handled a large group wonderfully! The chef was awesome and food was delicious with generous portions. We brought our baby who was thoroughly entertained. Definitely will be coming back soon.By Chelsea Hopla (3 months ago)Not going to lie, I expected an average sushi experience. I am really impressed with how quick and attentive they are. I mean, me and my BF ordered Sashimi at the Sushi bar area and the chef cut, and prepared it in less than 2 minutes…on a completely booked Saturday at 7 at night. We had our rolls pretty quick too, always was tended to, everyone had a great time around us. The food was excellent. They have an extremely efficient system in place with their employees that helps make it stand out from other restaurants.By Sarah Blackwell (3 months ago)

- Reviews:I got the brisket tacos and my friend got the Thai wrap. All the toppings on the tacos were amazing and the house made pickles were delicious. My only issue was that the beef was a little bit gristle-y for my liking. My friend liked the Thai wrap and we both agreed the chicken noodle soup was amazing. I’d go again just for the soup. Ambiance wasn’t amazing. Chairs and tables felt cheap and not welcoming. A booth would have been better but we were informed they were only for parties of four or more.By Natalie Malan (a year ago)I had hemmed and hawed about eating at this joint long enough so I decided to give em a go. The service was fantastic. The restaurant is very nice with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive and full of tantalizing descriptions of the fare offered. I was thinking about a burger, that Philly or the fish and chips. I decided on the fish and chips since it’s been a bit since I’ve had some. My side salad was good and larger than most restaurants give. The sweet potato fries I asked for instead of regular were decent. The coleslaw that came with my food wasn’t worth eating. The sauces, tartar and something else that I assume was some kind of fry sauce, weren’t very tasty. The fish…. I’m not sure what they did to that fish but I suspect it died of an overdose on breading. I like a nice thin breading, whereas this breading was a full 1/4” to 1/2” thick in places. A thinner coat would have yielded a better experience as under the outer flaky layer was a pancake like layer. Finally, the fish didn’t taste bad or old necessarily, but it didn’t taste super fresh like you’d expect from a place like this that also serves sushi. I’ll probably come back and try a burger or that Philly, but I definitely wouldn’t ask for fish and chips again.By Shem Ishler (8 months ago)I come here particularly for the steamed clams and the big island sushi roll! I have tried multiple things on this menu and let me tell you none of it has cease to disappoint me! They have live music sometimes outdoor seating, and good vibes all around! Check it out!By Tenisha (a year ago)Grabbed a quick bite before crashing for the night. (Early flight in morning) this place is a hidden gem. You can have bar/grill food or sushi. We opted for sushi. Though the prices are little high, the quality and portion sizes were great. It was a little loud but not unbearable. Will definitely be back next time we are flying out of the Bouse airport. Update: we went back for lunch on my return and our lunches were huge. I had the fish & chips and the piece of fish was the size of a hard covered novel! Crispy, not greasy crust, flaky hot fish inside. If you can’t decide between regular fries or sweet potato, you can have half/half. Do it! I don’t normally like tartar sauce but theirs is great. Comes with a fresh large side salad and the blue cheese dressing was some of the best I every had. My husband devoured his burger but couldn’t finish it due to its size. Highly recommend this place.By Anna Larghe (3 months ago)We had a surprisingly bad experience with the food at Willowcreek. The reuben was dry—hard corned beef and burned bread that left a bad taste in the mouth. The fries were excessively greasy and cold. The fish and chips provided a single large piece of halibut that could not be touched without falling apart. The breading was soggy and the fish had a boiled texture. A layer of grease and water settled at the bottom of the plate, making the sweet potato fries soggy. We did not send our plates back because we had no faith that a replacement would be any improvement. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. But finishing either of our meals would have been an unpleasant experience. We will not be coming back.By Ellie Y (10 months ago)
