- Reviews: This is the company that my home warranty sent out to fix my heating issue in November 2021 which was initially only me smelling a burning odor whenever my heat came on but they ended up coming out about 5 times before deciding that I needed a new furnace. Anyone who is deemed the subject matter expert should not need that many times to fix a problem unless they are intentionally trying to get money out of the customers, which I believe was the case. They came out and “fixed” the problem. Maybe a week or so passed by and I noticed the odor was STILL there so I contacted my home warranty 2-10 again and they sent them back out this time it was that I needed a fan motor…why wasn’t that the case the first time if you’re coming out for the same issue? No clue. Each time they came out there was a “different” issue that the claimed they were fixing but every time they worked on it there was a new problem I hadn’t had previously. I requested a different service tech after the 4th time but I should’ve requested an entirely different company through my home warranty. The next one came out and informed me of a different motor that I needed and once the part was in they would come install it. Advance Appliances called stating they couldn’t find the part for my system and that the home warranty would need to find it. Home warranty found it but when advanced appliance came to install it the part was the wrong part for my system therefore could not be found and now I need a new system. The strangest thing also happened the last time they came out, I had to leave work to come home and meet them there. Once the guy was finished and I had left he contacted me stating he had left some tools in my crawl space if I mind him going back to get them….I wasn’t home he knew that but I watched on my security camera this man was there for about 20 minutes. I don’t believe it takes that long to get any tool you may have left. They screwed with my system little by little making me use the allotted funds my home warranty provides to cover the system then tell me I need a new system and the funds that could’ve been used for a new system from the beginning are now exhausted because of all the parts and labor of them coming out so many times. I had to go to my crawl space to turn on the switch for my ice machine and found that they had taken my unit apart and not put it back together when they left. It was a mess, I wish I had before and after photos of my crawl space prior to any work being done but I only have the photo of the mess they left. Absolutely unacceptable, unsatisfactory, and unprofessional! Rating would be 0 if possible but I don’t recommend using this company at all.By Amillia Payne (8 months ago)I had a really good experience that I wanted to acknowledge. I had a scheduled maintenance appointment and the technician determined my lock was stuck so I needed to reschedule because the lock would need to be cut. During that visit the technician made a suggestion to file a repair with my warranty that would save me money that I hadn’t considered doing. That was the first thing that I appreciated along with his willingness to try to get the lock unstuck. I got a call the next day to reschedule for the following week which I really appreciated because despite needing to take care of something my schedule doesn’t always permit the time for me to sit down and do it. I was grateful to get the call to reschedule. Day of the appointment I was kept updated about the technicians arrival time. The technician arrived with an outside of the box idea to my problem. He did a thorough job and provided a thorough explanation. He even answered additional questions for me and confirmed that he service met my satisfaction. Each interaction with each person I encountered was very pleasant. It was a pleasure doing business with this company. This wasn’t my first service appointment. I’ve used them many times before and each time I’ve received really good service. I had to make time to share my experiences to help someone else.By Alexis Monique (3 months ago)The heroes at Advanced Appliance Service saved the day for our family right before Thanksgiving. After I described the plumbing issue we were experiencing, they were familiar with the scenario and quickly went into action. They were knowledgeable, courteous and skilled, explaining what they were doing along the way and what do to after they left. If we’re ever in a need of plumbing services again (or any home maintenance services for that matter), there will be no hesitation to call up Advanced Appliance Service. And they’ll definitely be on the Christmas card list! 🙂By Felecsia Ford (3 months ago)If I could give this company negative stars I would. BEWARE! They are highly unprofessional and lack quality customer service, and even the basic emotion of empathy. My home warranty dispatched Advanced Appliance to me for a service request I put in on 10/17. They came out on 10/19 and assessed the pilot on my water tank and told me they would need to order a part. On 10/27, they called me to tell me the part was in but unfortunately they had no openings to install it until 10/31. I was upset and asked for them to expedite this because I have been without hot water or heat ever since 10/17. They made no effort to get me in sooner, and I had to settle for 10/31 between 1-5pm.
On 10/31, I received a call while at work to inform me that the technician who was scheduled to come out, had to call off sick. As a result, they said they would have to move me to Wednesday, 11/2! At this point, I had been without hot water or heat for 14 days, but the part has been in their possession since 10/27 and has already been paid for by me. I told them I would not wait another day and that my health has been impacted by the length of time I have gone without the necessities of hot water or heat. After requesting a manager, Hannah assured me that Pablo (another technician) agreed to squeeze me in his rounds and would be out sometime before the end of the day. I took the remainder of the day off (which is very hard to do as I am a kindergarten teacher and we are truly short-staffed), and got home and waiting for a few hours. Then I received a message from Hannah that Pablo, nor any other technician would be coming out because they did not feel comfortable entering a home with a client who may be sick with pneumonia! I am floored at this discriminatory treatment for several reasons:
1. Initially the technician who responded on 10/19 did not screen me for any covid symptoms or whether I had travelled out of the country, nor did he wear a mask. He entered my home assuming a certain level of risk. So to now deny me services on a part I have already paid for because I am sick (due to their negligence and prolonged uninhabitable circumstances) is ludicrous!
2. The secondary reason they gave for not coming out was because they would have to come through the main entrance and did not want to risk getting sick. This is a lie! I have a side entry immediately adjacent to the water heater that needs serviced! When I gave this information, they still did not agree to come out.
There are several other reasons I could list, but I will save those for my attorney. Just know that Jacob, the general manager is highly unsympathetic and unprofessional. He argued with me and basically blacklisted me from receiving services because “I am sick,” meanwhile they still have my part and MY MONEY! This company is trash and their workers are absurd.
It is now day 15, and I am in the process of acquiring an attorney, and have already launched an investigation with Channel 2. Stay tuned…
By J’Aira Pryor (4 months ago)Over the past several months Advance Appliance was assigned by our home warranty company to come evaluate and fix our Jenn Air refrigerator that would not cool. After 3 visits over 5 months we are still without a working refrigerator. Each time they would come, identify a part that needed to be replaced, have us wait several weeks, and after a few days of operation the same problem would recur. Since refrigerator was exhibiting the same problem each time, the home warranty company would insist on sending the Advance Appliance out every single time. The THIRD time we had the same problem, they sent a “more experienced expert” to our home named Craig. He came and acted like the problem was obvious – and stated that a service bulletin was put out for our model refrigerator with this issue. This obviously begged the question as to what his company was doing the first two visits if his company RECEIVED A NOTICE about it. Craig even retrieved the bulletin from his vehicle and gave it to me when he visited which tells me the problem must not be that uncommon.Well, it turns out our home warranty company wouldn’t cover the part. Appliance’s office staff would not tell us why, closed the case without any explanation, and left us with a broken refrigerator after nearly 5 months of drama. We called the office and insisted to ask Craig the tech what the problem was and “where do we go from here.” When we asked him what the next step was and offered to pay out of pocket to get a working fridge he was terribly rude and dismissive saying “your guess is as good as mine” and after a moment of continued questioning he said “I’m done talking” and hung up on us.
From what I can see, Advanced Appliance is scam of a company that seems to collect insurance money from home warranties only to misdiagnose and perform faulty work on appliances before moving on to the next “customer.” Stay away from them at all costs.

- Reviews: Nick & Jarrett were great. Thankfully, while they were here for a very minor toilet issue (installed by other contractors during renovations), I had them check on our water heater, which we learned was 38 years old! I can’t say “New water heater!” fast enough! That is a challenge I do not wish to face! Thanks, guys!!!By Angela Klatt (2 months ago)Zak was very knowledgeable and courtesy. He did a great job answering my questions. Thank you and I will recommend you guys for plumbing. Great job and keep up the great work.By jorge rodriguez (2 months ago)Matt and his helper were great! Got here within an hour of calling. Fixed my shower handle/ faucet, that was badly leaking. Replaced and relocated my hard to get to water cutoff and high pressure valve from under the the house to a closet inside. Did the job quickly and neatly! Highly recommend! Great service! Very professional!By Casey Mote (3 months ago)PF Plumbing was professional in their communication and kept me up to date as I was waiting for a last minute time-slot to open. Once a technician was assigned, I was provided a precise time they would be at my residence. When Zachary arrived, he listened to all my concerns and was friendly and professional. He gave me a cost summary and then also asked if there was anything else he could help with while he was there. He checked on a warranty for an unrelated component and was able to get it sent directly to my residence for free. The quality of the work was excellent and it was completed in a timely manner. I almost never write a review but this was one time I felt that the quality of service should be recognized. Zachary went above and beyond my expectations.By Larry Gordon (2 months ago)Dana couldn’t be nicer and also offered to check anything else I needed. I would def all him again. Also, the lady who scheduled Dana was perfect in dealing with customer service. Thank you!!By Judy Sutherin (2 months ago)

- Reviews: We were having problems with wiring, too much on one circuit, and a light fixture not working properly. The technician checked each area. He was able to fix one. The other two are going to require a new fixture and services that were not covered under our plan. I’m going to have to budget and purchase what we need and then I will call them again to schedule to finish the repair. The technician was very professional, honest and seemed to know what he was talking about. He was not condescending and spoke plainly in terms I could understand. He also gave me options and let me know how to plan and solve the issues we are having.By Annette Stinson (4 months ago)Gwyn Services installed my HVAC unit in 2021. From the bidding to the maintenance, they have been professional, upfront, and just downright pleasant to deal with. They schedule services promptly. Every technician I’ve had at my home has been very courteous; they’ve answered questions patiently and thoroughly. I am pleased with their services and will continue to use them and do recommend them to friends.By Catherine Garner (2 months ago)5 stars service, hands down! We had some issues with our heating system, and called a few places for estimates, since replacing a whole heating unit is expensive.
Terrell Robinson came to give an estimate from Gwyn. He was friendly, punctual and incredibly knowledgeable. He spent time explaining in detail what he had found out about our own unit, including pictures, and listened to our concerns. After he came to look at our unit, he was easy to get in touch with, as well. His quote came quickly, and it was incredibly amenable, including transferable warranty. We were even able to schedule the repair that same week.
Thanks to Dustin as well for the quick installation! We were expecting an all-day affair, but it was done in five hours. He showed up very early in the morning and was out around lunchtime.
If you’re looking for a great local HVAC service, consider Gwyn!
By Carson F (a month ago)Gwyn did repairs on my very old heat pump/air conditioning unit. It was almost 30 years old and was about finished so we wanted to have it replaced. We did research and got quotes and Gwyn had the best price and equal warranties. Every technician that helped us was professional, polite and kept us updated. We so recommend this company!By Patricia C (5 months ago)These guys took out my very old oil furnace and AC unit and replaced everything with a top of the line system, for much better of a price than I expected. Everyone I worked with was very helpful and easy to communicate with!Nathan Phillips helped get me set up for an appointment and advise on what route to take, quickly and easily; Terrell Robinson came out and gave me an accurate quote in only about 10 mins and even explained some things I didn’t understand about my ductwork, he was also very easy to text or call any time I needed him; Dustin and Mason (don’t know their last names) installed the whole system and not only did an excellent job in 2 days time, but were also fun to talk to and very friendly. Lastly, they had to give me a new breaker box and meter and unfortunately I don’t know the guys names who did that but they also did an awesome job and contacted me promptly when they needed to.
Overall it was a very streamlined and satisfying experience. I’m super excited to have this new system installed as it’s a major improvement. I highly recommend going with Gwyn!

They arrived on time in their estimated arrival window. They even called me before arriving just to make sure I had a more granular idea of their arrival .Brian and Scott were complete professionals. They explained the process every step of the way, very compassionate. Anthony and his partner both were very professional/friendly and explained all details of the process very well so we knew what was going on the whole time. I have used other plumbers in the past and I would always call Roto Rooter when I have any other problems in the future. We loved the speed and quality of service.By Cassandra Moore (5 months ago)Gavin was amazing. He showed up exactly when he said he would and was so professional and knowledgeable. He was really great. The work was handled quickly and efficiently. I have definitely found my go to for any plumbing issues in the future, Gavin with Roto-Rooter!By Stephani Byerly (6 months ago)Gavin did an outstanding job. He took the time to evaluate the problem, determine the solution, and went about and beyond to get the job done. He also advised me as to how to avoid having this or similar problems in the future. It was a time consuming and difficult task, but he stayed the course. He could have taken a more expensive route, but he didn’t. He’s a very pleasant and patient person. He’s definitely an asset to your business. I wouldn’t hesitate to use You again in the future. And I have already recommended your company and Gavin to my neighbor.
Thank you again for your prompt and efficient service.

- Reviews: Ive had Mr Rooter come out 3 times to my home in the past couple years, water heater, leaky main water line, and a toilet. Fisher and Joshua both are great to work with, knowledgeable and personable. Best to both of them and will continue to use Mr Rooter.By Anthony Diffenbaugh (2 months ago)Joshua, Fisher, and Zach were courteous and knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment next day (right before Christmas!) and my bathtub fixtures were replaced beautifully. Rates are very reasonable. Highly recommend!By Melli Long (2 months ago)I’ve had an issue with losing water pressure intermittently. At first I thought it was the city. So I called WS and someone from the city came out and checked there ended and stated that the issue is at my house.
After looking at different plumbing services I stumbled across Mr. Rooter Plumbing. I can’t recall who I spoke with over the phone to set up the appointment but she was great very polite, very professional. I was able to set up and appointment next day. I received text and emails with updates from the time I scheduled and the time they arrived which was absolutely fantastic!!!!
Once the Tech Mr. Elliot arrived he listened to my concerns and immediately started looking into what my issue could be. Looks like the issue was the PRV. After speaking with him and I decided to not go with the repair at this moment only because my issue is intermittent. Once we discussed that he then did a walk around and inspected all the plumbing in the house. I have to say Mr Elliot is AWESOME!! I was amazed with the amount of knowledge he has and how detailed he is. As we were doing the inspection he brought me around with him and began to show me things to look for ,areas of concern, and just very interesting/ important details that I wouldn’t have never known. I can definitely say I will be using this company for any future issues I have!!! These guys are phenomenal!!! To be honest the best part about this experience is that you can tell with Mr. Elliot you’re getting good honest work. I have to say it’s because of him I will continue to do business with them.
By Joshua Porras (6 months ago)I asked Trent to install a shut off valve for the water heater in case it breaks down so we don’t need to close the main water supply to the whole house. After getting the approval from his supervisor he came back to install it. Appreciate and thanks to his quick action in compliance to our request.By Mario Antonio (3 months ago)Noah was such a pleasant, respectful and polite young man. He is very professional and very particular in doing an excellent job. He is very detailed. He is definitely an asset to this business. I loved that the response to getting an appointment is very fast and the tech arrived when expected and worked the whole time he was here. This is a very professional business and the service from beginning until the end was friendly, caring and dedicated to getting your issue taken care of. Noah installed an under the sink water filtration system for me and Mr Rooter is also taking care of an outdoor leak. I highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs.By Janice Rock (a year ago)
